Magnecor Plug Wires
Short Explanation
Higher performance (low resistance) plug wires are
helpful for smoother firing. Though usually accompanied by an
upgraded ignition system, they have other benefits. One is that
they make your engine setup look extremely nice. Two is that a
nice set of wires will last forever and give security that when
you're having firing problems, it isn't your wires. A generic
set of wires costs you $40 and I managed to get these wires for
$70 (total cost by the way)...for the extra $30, the looks and
security are worth it.
For Turbo Z's, higher perfomance wires are more necessary
than for NA's. The stock NA ignitions, I'm told, are more than
sufficient for the NA's needs, but the turbo could use an upgraded
ignition and a nice set of wires.
One added bonus of the Magnecors is their ease of installation.
Ever do your own tune-up only to find that your crappy plug wires
took up most of the time? You won't have this problem with the
Magnecors. You'll here them "click" into place and they
seal very nicely around the stem of the spark plugs. The dist.
cap ends of the wires also make a nice seal and a good grip on
the cap. My Magnecor set even came with an extra Coil to Distributor
wire...I believe they did this because that's the first wire that
burns out...kinda like havin' two pair of suit pants with one
suit jacket.
